The Aggtelek National Park Directorate initiated the Aggtelek-Jósvafő Folk and Art Days in 1998. It found partnership with the municipalities, ngo’s, congregations, businesses in Aggtelek and Jósvafő. The most popular and internationally the most unique programmes are the cave concerts in the Baradla cave.

Eleven days, twenty settlements of two countries, nearly a hundred programmes - the numbers of the Gömör-Torna Festival. However, numbers are marginal in this series of events. What matters is the sipirit that is innate and that brought to life this multifaceted festival. It reaches to the very roots and intends to revive historical traditions while entertaining locals and guests.

Most of the programmes are free. Furthermore, other discounts are available during the Festival. There are bonus coupons in the programme booklet of the Festival. Using them on the given days provides discounts for several guided cave tours, surface tours and village walks as well as exhibitions and museums in the Aggtelek and Slovak Karst.
